Cyber-criminals are taking advantage of the release of the free Windows 10 upgrade by sending out fake emails impersonating Microsoft. The emails claim to contain a download for the Windows 10 upgrade, but actually contain software that will lock all your files until you pay a ransom of around £300 within 4 days.
Please be aware that Microsoft will not send the download by email, Windows 10 will be delivered as a Windows update.
