Hallidays Fly High for Francis House

Hallidays daredevils excitedly announce their charity skydive on 4th October to raise money for Francis House Children's Hospice.

Skydiving enthusiast Nicola Jackson (Hallidays Payroll Manager) along with first time skydivers Katie Cheetham and Tom Shaw (Hallidays Client Support) will bravely jump in tandem from the dizzying height of 3 miles high (15,000 feet) and reach speeds of 120mph to raise vital funds for Francis House.

Nicola Jackson says:

'Skydiving is one of the scariest but most amazing experiences of my life. It takes you so far outside your comfort zone that it makes you feel like you can achieve anything! Francis House is a charity close to my heart and I'm proud we're raising money for such a worthwhile cause.'

Francis House in Didsbury supports around 2,000 people at any one time with respite care, homecare, sibling support, end of life care and emotional and bereavement support. With annual running costs exceeding £4million they rely heavily on their supporters to help them to continue providing their expert care and support.

Julie Williams, Fundraising Officer at Francis House says:

'The last 18 months has been especially challenging with many of our fundraising activities and events having to be cancelled or rearranged. This has led to a shortfall of income needed for our running costs. We're therefore extremely grateful for the continued support from Hallidays.'

Hallidays are aiming to raise £5,000 to support their vital work and have already completed a marathon in Norway and bike ride from Manchester to Blackpool.

The tandem skydives will take place at Black Knights Skydive Centre in Lancaster on 4th October, weather permitting.
